Fun day for Devon at Joso

Since Brandon was getting all the attention the last few days,  we decided to take Devon to a play gym that just opened up by our house.  It was a rainy day so it was a perfect day to be indoors

Luckily, it wasn't busy at all and Devon and his friend Dillan pretty much had the whole place to themselves to roam around

Devon climbed up 3 levels by himself and really enjoyed it.  

Devon was in the ball pit with another girl and he decided to lean over and give her a kiss...haha

We stayed there until it closed and Devon loved it so much that we bought an annual membership so we can take both boys on the weekends so they can roam free.

Living the life of royalty

We decided to hire someone this time around to help us for one month so I can just rest and focus on my recovery. My friend, Maggie highly recommended the lady she hired when she gave birth to her 2nd child.  I had no idea what to expect,  but I thought it would be nice to have some help and not worry about cooking and cleaning especially with 2 kids.

Mrs Ha came over to the house the day I was discharged from the hospital.  She made soup for me and cooked some amazing and delicious food for the family.  Her dishes and culinary skills totally exceeded my expectations. Here are some snap shots of our daily feasts!!

We could not ask for more.  The food is better than restaurant quality and we have the luxury to eat this amazing food in the comfort of our own home.  With Mrs Ha's help,  I am able to just focus on feeding Brandon and take naps whenever I can.  After only 10 days,  I already feel like I'm close to 100% and this is the best investment we could have made.  I will keep posting more food pictures over the next several weeks.  We already know we will miss Mrs Ha alot after the one month:(,

July 17, 2015...when our 2nd little miracle was born

The morning of July 17, 2015,  I woke up around 7am and had some slight cramping.  I thought it was Braxton Hicks which are false contractions.  Both Brian and I got ready to take Devon to daycare and I told Brian that we should go to the hospital after dropping off Devon just to get checked out. Brian was planning on going to work, but then decided to work from home after the hospital.  We dropped off Devon around 9am and packed my hospital bag just in case.  I was not in pain during this time, but since my labour was fairly quick with Devon,  I didn't want to take any chances since I heard scary stories of people having a baby on their front lawn.  

At 10:00am,  I was in in triage and they put some straps on me to test the baby's heart rate. Everything seemed to look ok so they proceeded to check how much I was dilated to see if they were going to admit me or send me home.  When they checked me at 10:30am,  both the nurse and I were shocked that I was already 4cm dilated.  I was told that I was not going home and was going to be admitted right away.  I had lunch plans to meet some friends at 1pm so I messaged them to say that I probably won't make it to lunch this time...hahaha.  

My water didn't break yet and they asked if I wanted them to break my water.  I agreed to it since they said it would speed up the process and we planned to pick up Devon later that afternoon around 4pm. The Doctor came in to break my water around 11am and when she did....she exclaimed..."wow,  you are at 8cm".  The Doctor asked the nurse to immediately set up the delivery table.  While the nurse was getting this set up,  I had a really strong contraction and I told the nurse there was a lot of pressure and I felt the baby coming.  The Doctor came in right away and started putting her gloves on. She waited until the contraction passed and then checked me.  To my surprise, she said I could start pushing and baby's head was already crowning.  I rested my head and the next contraction didn't come for another few mins.  When the contraction came,  they told me to push and after 2 pushes,  our little miracle was in my arms and crying at the top of his lungs.  Baby Woo arrived at 11:23am.  

This time was still as surreal and beautiful as when Devon entered our lives.  The contractions and pushing did not bring me to tears, but seeing this beautiful creation made me shed a tear or two.  We named our second miracle,  BRANDON.
